DNS4EU project aims to provide EU citizens, companies, and institutions with a secure, privacy-compliant, and powerful recursive Domain Name System (DNS). Endorsed by the European Union, DNS4EU is positioned as the recommended DNS resolver for public and governmental institutions across the continent. This initiative strengthens European sovereignty by offering a safe and open alternative DNS resolver for EU citizens, businesses, and public administrations, with the expertise of 13 partners from 10 European countries.

Our role

As the legal partner in the DNS4EU project, Timelex plays a role in ensuring compliance with applicable EU legislations. Timelex assists the consortium in identifying and evaluating data protection and privacy risks, defining specific requirements for compliance, and implementing measures and policies to ensure privacy by design and by default. Leveraging our expertise, we conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) and assist in safeguarding telecoms privacy and confidentiality to ensure that DNS4EU remains a beacon of trust and security in the digital landscape.
