The Distributed Open Marketplace for Europe (DOME) project is an initiative funded by the European Union’s Digital Europe Programme aimed at enhancing cloud-to-edge infrastructure and services across Europe. This project brings together 38 members from 14 EU member states, including enterprises, SMEs, research institutes, and non-profit organizations, to collaboratively build a federated marketplace for cloud and edge services. The objective is to improve the availability and adoption of secure, efficient, and reliable cloud and edge services, especially in sensitive and regulated sectors.
Over a span of 36 months, DOME will deploy and manage a technical infrastructure that prioritizes customer-centricity, inclusion, and equality while adhering to stringent security and legal standards. This initiative will also facilitate access to a comprehensive EU portal that offers a vetted catalogue of services compliant with the forthcoming EU Cloud Rulebook, ensuring a vendor-neutral environment that supports fair competition and innovation across the EU.
Timelex is the legal partner in this three-year project. As the legal advisor, Timelex ensures compliance with pertinent EU regulations and legal standards, contributing to the establishment of a robust framework that safeguards the integrity and trustworthiness of the DOME project.
