ENDURANCE

Summary

The ENDURANCE project is a 3-year Horizon Europe initiative funded under Grant Agreement no. 101168007 aimed at strengthening the resilience of Europe’s Critical Infrastructures (CI), which includes sectors such as energy, health, digital services, public administration, drinking water and wastewater.

In today’s highly interconnected world, Critical Infrastructures are increasingly exposed to a broad spectrum of risks, from cyberattacks and physical sabotage to human errors and natural disasters. Such disruptions have the potential to cause far-reaching consequences, affecting public safety, economic stability, and the continued delivery of essential services across Europe. This growing vulnerability makes it critical for Europe to adopt proactive and coordinated measures to safeguard these infrastructures.

The ENDURANCE project responds to this need by bringing together a consortium of 22 partners from 7 European countries, which includes 7 competent authorities and 6 critical infrastructure operators from 6 key sectors. Launched in October 2024, this €5 million EU-funded initiative is committed to developing interoperable solutions aimed at strengthening Europe’s defences. The project will deliver robust methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and strategic frameworks to build the resilience of critical infrastructures and ensure their capacity to recover from both physical and cyber incidents.
