Pedro Demolder specialises in intellectual property (IP), technology and data protection (GDPR) law. He represents clients in various sectors in contentious and non-contentious matters.
He has a rich expertise in drafting and negotiating agreements related to software development, licensing, and implementations as well as SaaS, cloud services and IT outsourcing. He also represents clients in court litigation regarding failed IT projects.
Furthermore, he has extensive experience in privacy and data protection law, both in general as well as in relation to specific sectors. He assists clients in implementing the ever-evolving data protection requirements as well as in screening implementations already put in place.
Pedro’s intellectual property practice ranges over all intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademarks, patents, designs, trade secrets and domain names. He supports clients in the entire life-cycle of IP-rights, starting from the initial strategic implementations and freedom-to-operate searches to registrations, exploitation, licensing, and litigation proceedings.
In addition, Pedro drafts and negotiates various types of commercial contracts, such as regarding distribution and retail, franchising, manufacturing, commercial partnerships, joint ventures, research and development agreements as well as general sales and purchase conditions.

Pedro is a member of the Dutch-speaking Bar Association of the Brussels Bar since 2019.
Prior professional experience
Prior to joining Timelex in 2022, Pedro worked two years at the law firm Beyond Law Firm in Brussels.
