Silke Fiers is specialised in intellectual property, technology and data protection law. She assists clients with advisory and transactional work as well as dispute resolution.
Silke has a broad experience helping clients to monetise and protect their IP assets. This includes trademarks, copyright, patents, designs, trade secrets and databases. She drafts and negotiates licensing, collaboration and R&D agreements. Silke also represents clients before the courts and IP offices, such as the European Union Intellectual Property Office.
Moreover, her practice covers technology law and data protection. This ranges from drafting various types of IT agreements and general commercial agreements, to advising on GDPR compliance, and representing clients in GDPR litigation.
Additionally, she works on innovative research projects, especially e-health and research supported by artificial intelligence. Silke ensures ethical and legal compliance and advises the research partners on IP and data protection, helping to bring research to the market.

Silke has been a member of the Dutch-Speaking Bar Association of the Brussels Bar since 2021.
Prior professional experience
Prior to joining Timelex in 2023, Silke was an associate at the IP department of international law firm Bird & Bird.
