Stefan Van Camp is specialised in the legal aspects of IT projects and IT contracts, software, e-commerce, electronic communications, online consumer law, online market practices, the sale of products, and product safety and liability. He has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating contracts related to software development, licensing and implementation, SaaS and cloud services, and IT outsourcing. He is also an experienced litigator in these areas. As a lawyer and former consultant in leading international consulting firms, he is and has been involved in large scale IT procurement projects is different countries.
Furthermore, he performs legal studies and assessments for various governments and governmental bodies in the area of online consumer law, consumer sales, and commercial practices.
Stefan also drafts and negotiates various types of commercial contracts, such as regarding distribution and retail, franchising, manufacturing, commercial partnerships, joint ventures, general sales and purchase conditions, etc. He also has extensive experience in litigation about these types of contracts.
He is a frequent speaker at seminars and webinars in relation to IT contracts and e-commerce.
Professional admissions
Stefan has been a member of the Dutch-Speaking Bar Association at the Brussels Bar since 2000. He has been a member of the Antwerp Bar Association between 1986 and 2000.
Prior professional experience
Prior to joining Timelex in 2011, Stefan worked as an IT and business lawyer at the international law firms DLA Piper and Eversheds, and as an IT and business legal consultant at the international consulting firms Arthur Andersen, KPMG and Price Waterhouse (PWC).
