Brussels-based TMT & IP boutique law firm time.lex has further strengthened its IP, media and unfair competition practice with the hire of Johanne Ligot.
Johanne is specialised in intellectual property law, both in contentious and transactional matters. She also has an excellent reputation in media law, advising broadcasting companies, TV distributors, TV production houses and other market players on media legislation compliance and assisting them in negotiating contracts and protecting their rights.
She also has extensive experience in unfair competition and advertisement law. She is a co-author of one of the reference publications on these topics: “Les pratiques loyales”, published by Larcier in 2012 (in French).
Johanne obtained her law degree from the University of Liège in 2001 and a Master of Law in Intellectual Property and New Technologies from the University of Liège and the University of Leicester in 2002. She started her career in 2002 at the Bar of Liège and has been a member of the Brussels Bar since 2008. She is a member of associations and organisations in the area of IP and unfair competition law, including the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) and the International League of Competition Law (LIDC).
