AI has been "hot" for a while, but now that we know the final text of the AI Act, we can get a better idea of exactly what an AI system means legally and what companies will need to consider when marketing or using an AI system. We will start this session with a lawyer-level introduction to AI, and we will come to the conclusion that AI can pose certain dangers. The AI Act is just trying to address those risks without inhibiting innovation too much. We will then continue the session by reviewing the provisions of the AI Act.
